K-Rend base (scratch) coats are polymer modified and cement based to ensure flexibility and strength. Scracth coats require only the additon of water and five minutes mixing times. Normally applied in one coat as backing for K Rend finishes. Rule Offto flat finish and scratch lightly to provide a key for next coat.
